The out-of-the-box password is 111111. If you are working with an HMI that you did not program or install we recommend contacting the installer to determine the password.
What is a headless HMI?
A headless HMI is an HMI device that operates without a built-in display. It is designed to be controlled and monitored remotely using a web browser or application. Weintek’s headless HMI models include the cMT-FHDX-820, cMT-SVRX-820, and cMT-SVRX-822.
What units have a built-in PLC?
Every cMT X HMI sold by Weintek USA can function as a combined PLC-HMI system when equipped with the optional CODESYS SoftPLC runtime.
Is Weinview the same as Weintek?
No, Weinview distributes products to the Chinese market. We do not sell Weinview units, those units are sold only by [Weinview](http://www.weinview.cn).
Does Weintek sell panel PCs or IPCs?
Weintek does not offer any units with a Windows OS, commonly called panel PCs or IPCs. Instead, our HMIs use a Linux-based OS optimized for running projects developed with EasyBuilder Pro. Weintek USA does not provide direct download links for HMI firmware because our support team must verify the correct firmware for each unit’s chipset; however, most issues can be resolved by simply updating EasyBuilder Pro. What operating system do the HMIs use?
Weintek HMIs run a customized Linux OS designed to support applications created with EasyBuilder Pro. Some models, such as our web panels and cMT Viewer panels, operate as thin-client devices and run a built-in web browser or the cMT Viewer app, respectively.
Do any HMI models support connections via HDMI?
Yes, the cMT-FHDX-820 can connect to an external display via HDMI.
